Host a Personal Care Items Drive

Mission Northeast provides essential items to individuals and families in crisis, and personal care items are among the most urgently needed.

What comes in a personal care bag

Place a clearly labeled box at your school, church, business, or community center and collect donations over several days or weeks.
Go around to classrooms or Sunday schools to spread the word.
Ask your school or church to include the drive in their announcements.
Promote the drive on social media, in newsletters, and on community boards.

Partner with a local school, church, or business to plan a Drive Day, then rally friends, family, and volunteers.
Promote the event in advance.
Create signs that are easy to spot.
Set up a table or tent with volunteers and welcome drive-up or walk-up donations.

Drop donations off at Mission Northeast, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at 22098 TX-494 Loop, New Caney, TX 77357.

Pray for strength and encouragement for volunteers. Lift up each volunteer serving this week. Pray that they would feel energized, appreciated, and encouraged as they give their time.
Pray for peace for families facing uncertainty. Many families are walking through difficult and unknown situations. Pray that they would experience peace in the middle of it, and hope for what lies ahead.
Pray for deeper community connections. Ask that relationships would keep growing between volunteers, staff, and clients, and that the mission would be a place where people feel welcomed.
Pray for provision beyond basic needs. While food and essentials are critical, pray also for emotional, spiritual, and relational needs. Ask that each person who walks through the doors would leave feeling cared for.
Pray for open hearts to receive support. Pray for those who may feel hesitant about asking for help. Ask that they would feel comfortable coming to the mission and receiving support without shame.
