Vacation Bible School
VBS at Mission Northeast is June 30 through July 2, 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. It is for clients only. Children ages 5 through completed 6th grade can register at the mission.
Back to School Bash
In July we will host a Back to School Bash and supply each child with items for the coming school year. We need backpacks, underwear, and socks.
Volunteer spotlight: Jonathan Davis
I got to help a lady the other day who needed to update her resume and put it up on LinkedIn. It was great to help her through the process and open up her job possibilities.
Jonathan has been volunteering for a few years in the warehouse. In February he started a new role as a computer lab tech.
Jonathan’s mom has volunteered at the mission for more than 10 years. When she heard the new computer lab needed someone, she knew it was a fit for him. Since the lab opened, Jonathan has served every Tuesday through Thursday, ready to help anyone who needs assistance. We are grateful for his expertise and his willingness to help in this new area of the mission.
Prayer points
- Pray for summer programs. Pray that summer programs would be meaningful for everyone who takes part. Ask God for safety, strong relationships, and a chance for children and families to experience his love and find the help they need.
- Pray for volunteers who are traveling. Ask for safe journeys, good health, and a chance to be a positive witness wherever they go.
- Pray for Vacation Bible School. Pray that VBS would be a fun and life-changing week for every child, and bless the teachers, volunteers, and families involved.
- Pray for the Back to School Bash. Pray that the bash would serve and encourage students and families as they prepare for a new school year, and that every needed resource would be provided.
